Abstract

In the quality certification of compact fluorescent lamps (CFL or LFC) the electromagnetic compatibility aspect is a mandatory requirement in USA and European coutries. In Brazil, this evaluation is optional and in this work we present tests of this requirement accomplished in the Fluminense Federal University Lighting Laboratory (LABLUX) using as samples the products sold in electric material stores of Brazilian market. Evaluations were carried out on 10 samples and the results are presented and commented, showing that if in Brazil this quality requirement was mandatory only one of the tested model would be approved.
