Abstract

The Internet of Things is a technological
paradigm that can be described as the set of elements that have
small-embedded systems. This consisting of sensors,
microprocessors, interconnection modules and actuators, which
communicate with each other, to share useful information and
improve processes. However, there are a large number of
solutions from different vendors, both licensed and open source,
that when deployed together may present problems, mainly due
to a lack of standardization. In this paper we propose the use of
OPC UA as middleware between MQTT and cross-platform Web
applications. In addition, we develop a data management
platform. Among the results obtained, it is possible to show the
advantages of using MQTT and OPC UA, since it provides
greater efficiency in the response time and security of the
application.
