Augmented Reality applications based on fiducial markers enable real-time interactions between users and virtual elements. Since these applications are computationally expensive, they must be carefully designed to run on mobile devices. Developers of applications for mobile platform must be concerned to deal with minimum limits for requirements such as the frame rate. The objective of this paper is to check whether there is a correlation between the frame rate and the ease-to-use the system, in addition to finding the minimum limit for this requirement. The results showed, first, there is a correlation between these factors, and, second, the minimum limit varies according to the type of interaction.
