Digital LQG Controller Design Applied to an Electronic System

Abstract

This paper presents a practical application of a LQG (Linear Quadratic Gaussian) (optimum) controller in an electronic system. The plant is represented by a second order discrete model. Robustness analysis is made for both the control loop and to the Kalman filter. Simulated tests and practical of the type: step response, load disturbance in the plant input, plant output contaminated with white noise is performed in order to evaluate performance and robustness propitiated by LQG control.
